COOKIE POLICY

WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files sent from a website you visit to your computer terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the site on your next visit. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from your hard drive, nor can it transmit computer viruses or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to your web browser. Some of the functions of cookies can be delegated to other technologies. In this document, the term "cookie" refers to both the cookies themselves and to all similar technologies. Cookies can be used to record information about your preferences, such as the pages visited or the download of files from our site or other similar actions performed while browsing our site.

FIRST-PARTY OR THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
Cookies can be first-party or third-party, where "first-party" means cookies developed by the owner of the site itself, while "third-party" means cookies developed by third parties with respect to the owner of the site.

THE NATURE OF COOKIES
As regards the nature of cookies, there are different types of cookies:

Technical cookies
Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service" (see art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Privacy Code). They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website. They can be divided into:
Navigation or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access reserved areas); they are in fact necessary for the correct functioning of the site; Analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, in order to improve the performance of the site; Functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided to the user. The installation of these cookies does not require the prior consent of users (for more information see the section Cookie Management below).

Profiling cookies.
Profile cookies are designed to create a profile of the user as a user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences shown while browsing the web. Our use of profiling cookies requires your consent. According to Provision no. 229 of 8 May 2014, you must be able to authorize or deny consent to the installation of profiling cookies if present. In the case of third-party cookies, we do not have direct control over individual cookies and cannot control them (we cannot install them directly or delete them). You can still manage these cookies through your browser settings (follow the instructions below), or through the sites indicated in the article How to manage cookies section below. If you’d like more information, please check the websites of the third parties indicated below.

DURATION OF COOKIES
Cookies have a duration dictated by the expiration date (or by a specific action such as closing the browser) set at the time of installation. Cookies can be: temporary or session cookies: they are used to store temporary information, allow you to connect actions performed during a specific session and are removed from the computer when the browser is closed; persistent cookies: they are used to store information, such as the username and password so that you do not have to re-type them each time you visit a specific site. These remain stored on your computer even after the browser is closed. So-called session cookies, once the connection to this website has ended, are not stored. The computer systems used for this site use temporary and permanent cookies.
